The Ladera Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is a complex and finely balanced wine that offers a beautiful expression of its hillside origins. Enticing aromas of intense black cherry and cassis are layered with bursts of cocoa and vanilla. The palate is opulent, supported by supple tannins and a silky texture, all leading to a long, flavorful finish. In order to extract the maximum mountain-fruit character and depth, the grapes were sorted by hand, de-stemmed without crushing, and cold soaked for 5 to 7 days in small open-top fermenters. The wines were then aged in 94% new premium French oak for 22 months before the final blend was assembled.
