[90 Wine Spectator]Proprietors Vicki and Tom Celani team up with winemaker Mark Herold to produce this Napa Valley Merlot. This wine is a powerhouse with dark, deep purple/blue/black color. It has penetrating aromas of ripe exotic berries, loganberries, dusty plums, graphite, and black raspberry. The flavors show off great extract and intense Merlot varietal character with hints of mocha. Drink this over the next 8 years. It is aged 10 months in Darnajou French oak barrels and bottled without fining or filtration.
