The 2013 Proprietary Red Bedrock Vineyard Heritage comes from the Peterson familys old vines planted between 1888 and 1895. Amazingly, there are over 22 interplanted varieties in this vineyard, with the bulk of it being 55% Zinfandel and 30% Carignane. The balance of 15% is composed of the other 20 varietals. There are 750 cases of this spectacular wine. Its dense ruby/purple color is followed by notes of black raspberries, roasted Provenal herbs, pepper, strawberry jam, kirsch and blacker fruits. Full-bodied, heady, savory, broad and expansive, this fabulous wine showcases the remarkable blending and winemaking skills of Morgan Twain Peterson.
