On the palate, the Madoro is sweet and full-bodied, with a long, evolving finish that keeps the senses captivated.Owner Fausto Maculan enjoys experimenting with Cabernet and he is an expert in producing sweet wines, so why not combine the two? The first letters of MAculan, DOlce (sweet) and ROsso (red) are combined to form Madoro (Maculan Sweet Red!). It is made with 50% Marzemino and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon. After strict bunch selection, the grapes are dried for six weeks before fermenting in stainless steel tanks. The wine is finished in French barriques to add extra complexity.
