The entire vineyard is made of several plots of vines on a gravely soil from the Garonne area and dating from the quaternary period. It is a blend of 60% cabernet sauvignon, 38% Merlot and 2% cabernet franc. Cru Bourgeois since the 2003 classification, the vines from Chateau Mongravey are located amongst the prestigious 1855 Grands Clus Classs of the Margaux appellation.
